what happeded to daydreams
Shelly Harris • Thank you, dear, but it is up to you and your peers to save the newspaper industry. I am out of it all and writing fiction. and even tha's going to electronics too soon.
It all just goes too fast. How do the coming generations have time to think? I am horrified to see ads to teach babies to read. Dear God, how can parents do that? Babies need to learn their near world before they begin trying to imagine the outter reaches. They need to follow and ant to it's hill, rescue a baby bird, fall in the mud, imagine pigs in the clouds.
They may know how to read, but what will they have to write about? My grandchildren have either a joy stick, a keyboard or TV going at all times while their stunted imagination lays starving in a forgotten corner of their minds.
Time to get out my old copy of "the Brave New World" and refresh my memory.

COULDN'T AGREE MORE! WE GET UNENDING RECORDED PHONE CALLS FROM THE SAME IDIOTS. WE HANG UP.
MY DAD WAS RIGHT,THEY ARE ALL CROOKS,IDIOTS OR BOTH.
WE BELIEVE NO ONE ANY MORE,NO ONE AT ALL. WE ARE DEEPLY TROUBLED BY THE LIES AND ATTACKS AND THE LOW LEVEL TO WHICH THIS COUNTRY'S POLITICS HAS DESCENDED.
AND THE NERVE OF THE CONSTANT BEGGING! HAVE NONE OF THEM NEVER FALLEN ON HARD TIMES?

Let's go back about 4 years during the primaries. SNL had a skit with the Hillary Clinton look alike and the Obama look alike in debate. He was given questions like, "How are you feeling." she was given questions that stumped the most astute. The spoof was SNL's way of commenting on Obama being the fair-haired boy, no pun intended, and Hillary could do nothing right.
When he got the nomination I thought to myself that the media. The three main television networks, CBS, NBC and ABC had put him up to run for president. And i wondered if they were going to put him in office.
And i wondered...why?

What does vociferous mean?
Vociferous means loud, bellowing, making one's point in a noisy manner. I have ranted to the four walls and orated to the cat and dog long enough. I want to be heard. I'd shout from the roof top if I could get up there. This is the best I can do. Consider me talking to you with an intent look on my face and my voice gaining volume as I make my point.
Like the fellow who belongs to "the rent is too damn high party" I belong to the "who writes these intellectually challenged political ads party?"

I'm on Social Security and count every penny.To donate my hard sought money so
you can televise harmful ads against candidates who are doing the same
harmful ads against your candidates makes no sense.
There is no
information given. There is no problem faced...one comes on and says the other
is lying and then the other comes on, usually the next ad, and says the
other guy is lying. What are ya'll thinking of? The American people are not
helped by this kind of mud slinging.
As long as our governmental
representatives are elected by 30 second ads our country will continue to
flounder. The news casters keep the people stirred up so the parties will buy
more time on TV. The only winner in all of this is the visual
media.
They get $40 a month of my meager funds and by george,
that is all they get.
